WHAT IS THE VINE?
The Vine specializes in a unique form of counseling which uses spiritual resources as well as psychological understanding for healing and growth, providing professional counseling that is sensitive to a person's religious beliefs and traditions.
The Vine is a congregation-based ministry of the church. It serves as an extension of a client's congregation and as an outreach of our supporting congregations.
OUR MISSION
The mission of The Vine is to be an ecumenical pastoral counseling center which provides services for individuals, couples, families and congregations that will facilitate healing and wholeness inhuman life and relationships. Services will be provided to any person, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic status or faith perspective.
THE MINISTRY AND MISSION OF THE VINE IS SUPPORTED BY CONTRIBUTIONS FROM CONGREGATIONS, ORGANIZATIONS, INDIVIDUALS AND DENOMINATIONAL GOVERNING BODIES.
SLIDING FEE SCALE AND SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Our network of support makes it possible to operate with a sliding fee scale. Fees are determined based on family income and circumstance. It also supports a Scholarship Fund, making scholarships available to those who need financial assistance.

The office is located at 4257 Sullivan Street, Madison, AL. The phone number is 256-461-8580. There are five Counseling Office locations:
First Baptist Church, Madison - First Baptist Church, Huntsville - Hope Presbyterian Church, SE Huntsville- Locust Grove Baptist Church, New Market - St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Decatur. Counseling hours can be arranged to suit the need of the client.

PASTORAL COUNSELING
Depression, anxiety, stress, persistent guilt, survivors of physical, verbal or sexual abuse, spiritual crisis, life adjustments, career changes, grief.
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY
Communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, premarital counseling, blended family issues, parenting through school or social problems, troubled adolescents, other parenting concerns, recovery from affairs, divorce.
