THE CHANCEL CHOIR

During worship, we have an opportunity to come before God in many ways, including in song. Our hymns are chosen each week to complement the Scripture and focus of the service, as well as the themes of the church “season” in which we find ourselves. The congregational responses remain more constant from week to week, but do shift with the church seasons to reflect the major themes and tone of the season. We invite and encourage the congregation to join in singing the hymns and congregational responses throughout the service with enthusiasm. Come, let us make a joyful noise before the Lord!
The Chancel Choir sings each Sunday during the 10:30 AM Worship Hour. Utilizing a variety of musical styles, the Choir sings anthems, contemporary Christian music and specialized arrangements of the hymns of the church. Membership in the Chancel Choir is open, without audition. Rehearsals are held in the Choir Room on Wednesday evenings, at 7:00 PM.
